I never Identified Alexisonfire as Nu metal, I said what I meant, NEW metal.

It's what most people call metal these days. Is it metal? Most certainly not.

I'm a fan of metal, and Alexisonfire are indeed a variation of metal. What I'm more a fan of, though, is music, you see. So if there's one kind of person I would stab in the face, it's people who diss others for getting things wrong, yet use the term "screamo".

They have all the elements of a metal band. You don't have to be Slayer to be a metal band. Damn kids.

You fail at trying to identify music if you think Alexisonfire are a punk band, or if you are still calling them "emo"/"screamo".
