you just made blatantly obvious that you have never played a P2P game...while Allods might be one the best F2P games out there, its crap compared to any recent P2P game, and still vastly inferior to many older, outdated P2P games.
being the best F2P game is like being the smartest down syndrome in the special class...not really something to brag about.

@OP
All I can really say is you should have been in the game from early CB. Then compare that game to the current one. You'll see that the game, in it's current state, is nothing but a shell of what it used to be. The developers turned it into a game with such large potential into what it is now: Nothing but a cash scam. Where the game is practically unplayable past around 25 or so without starting to fork out cash. When I mean cash, I mean handfuls of it. If you don't have Tier 7 or higher runes, which are only attainable in any realistic amount of time by spending wads of cash, you're gimped. If you don't use CS potions, you're gimped. If you don't use Incense and keep a HEAVY stock of charms equipped you're HEAVILY gimped. To put it frankly, the game is awful now.

At one time, yes.
As of now, one of the worst F2P games. Honestly, I don't feel right calling it F2P anymore. I think one of the kids on the Allods boards priced it out at 30 dollars or so a month when you figure all the necessary cash shop items in, give or take. That would pay for both a Warhammer and World of Warcraft online account at the same time, which are both waaaaay better than Allods could ever hope to be. Yes, I liked Allods, but the patch killed it.

You might get away with the most OP class and build in the game but even then you still need to spend money to get around Asee-Teph (Melee Healer). I was lv25 Orc Warrior before the patch and even then I died a lot from mobs. I stacked a lot of armor and stats too. Even the DPS I was doing was insanely huge. But here's the thing. It didn't matter how much Fitness, Expertise, Luck, or Strength I had, I couldn't take a mob down less than 45 seconds. I was spending golds for food and potions. I even had to farm a low level boss for hours to get back the gold I spent for food for 1 quest. I think a lot of Warriors would probably say the same thing too.
After the patch, leveling was impossible. The mobs were 2X stronger. Most of the classes were nerfed and boosted with extra 'health'. If anyone here said leveling was easy after the patch, they've never played past Lab 13, or they were sadly being powerlevel'd (not by level grind but quest). I would have stuck a lot longer too but it wasn't worth staying for the little PVP/PVE content they had. That's the only thing Allod's lacked of. If they could bring WoW's "Battlegrounds" and "Request Duels" into the game, I'd come back defiantly. The "little arena" in both Faction's cities, is a joke. |
