I'm not sure if this has been posted in the past but I was reading up on Pokemon Black and White and decided to do some google searching.
http://www.pokemonworldonline.net/index.php Site's pretty nicely done and there was one other version I was looking at but once I hit download it brought up a pretty ugly pop up so I'll pass and try this one. Edit: It's been years since I've even thought about Pokemon. Looking through the list of them brings back some memories. |

I used to be a GM for Pokemon World Online. It used to be really amazing, but the game is pretty much dead and bugged right now. We used to have two wonderful developers, but one of them quit and the other one was too busy with other stuff, so we ended up getting crappy developers. Too bad, because the game was really awesome and it had thousands of players.

school, other stuff, more projects..; might as well just never start it in the first place, i find it wierd how i have school and i have other stuff and more projects to work on and have just about more than enough time to make a decent game (though there is no point :S) i really appreciate those crappy free servers, but i understand they don't have money and their wierd fan made playerworld games wont earn them a single penny so free servers are a clever choice. people will especially quit within a day or two so it's not worthy :P Last edited by Keria; 08-01-2010 at 12:44 PM. |

Both developers were adults who had a JOB and a FAMILY. They maintained the server in their free time. The servers were actually BOUGHT and they were running on a powerful pc. Moreover, the game was no 'playerworld game'. We spent weeks making maps and sprites and everything. The playerbase was huge. There were always more than 300 players online and at some moments even more than 1000. Many people stayed for months, even years and it was a blast. By the way, what are you currently studying and how old are you? |

I thought one of the developers left because of some family issues ;o
I sure hope them two will come back so I can at least 'feel at home' in this blasted game(currently) again. |
