Well first of all, Sword of the Stranger is a movie.
It's impossible not to like it , it's just good in every possible aspect (animation, plot, etc).

I would rate it 9/10

Kurozuka is completly different story. It has only 12 episodes, altough most of them involve sword fighting and stuff like that it may seem confusing to some people. So if you are used to watch only animes like Bleach, Naruto etc. it might not be what you are looking for.

8/10 (actually im planning to watch it again)

Now Shigurui, expect alot of violance and nudity. And it's a "must watch" if you are really into samurais, each fight is like a game of chess. If you ever read Vagabond, watching this anime will be much more enjoyable.

Though it isn't about pure Samurai, I would say Samurai Seven. The story is pretty original, the plot is entertaining, and the action scenes are beast. (Imagine Gundam fused with Samurai Champloo, yeah, pretty BA)
