Can you guys give me some good RTS games. No matter the style (War, civilization builders, kingdom building, economic, etc...) or the setting (future, past, fantasy, etc...), I want to hear about it.
If you could provide links (or type/copy-paste a short/long description) to your suggestions, that would be amazing. |

Sins is one of the best IMO. That is, if you enjoy games that can last days if not weeks. Huge fleets of ships, depending on your computer you can get massive amounts of planets (I've played with around 1000 before). Extremely heavy macro focused game, micro is extremely unimportant and not really needed to be good at the game, but you must be able to juggle hundreds of planets at a time.

Company of heroes, if your interested in WWII.
Total war series, massive battles, ranging from Romans to the Napoleonic era depending on which one you buy (personal favourite is Medieval 2). Command and Conquer, not a big fan of 3 and 4 but still good games. Honorable mentions: Star Wars: Empire at War Black and white Age of Mythology The Lord of the Rings, The Battle for Middle-earth Homeworld You can't really go wrong with choosing an RTS, they're all good.

Command and Conquer 1: Tiberium Dawn (Legal + Free)
Command and Conquer 2: Tiberium Sun (Legal + Free) Command and Conquer: Red Alert (Legal + Free) That just about sums it up. Still great, even after all these years. Graphics are more than a little outdated, but if you can stomach them, these games are just awesome. Oh. Almost forgot. Monkeyguy is extremely right about Homeworld. One of the best RTSs, ever. Beats out everything I've played since. Graphics are even still okay, despite the fact that it's from 1999. You can buy it on amazon for what looks like 'round about 8 bucks, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...SIN=B00004T77A, or you might be able to find a digital download somewhere for less.
