I still like the game, but a tutorial about the basic stuff would've been nice. Now I have to look everything up. |

For an 'open' beta this feels very much unfinished and unpolished.
The craft-system is too random, and the fact you gotta look around on the forums to even get a smidgen of a clue on how to craft anything, annoys me to no end. Easy way to fix this would be just to add a recipe-book somewhere, just so you could at least see what recipes you know and what they require. I could go on about the interface/mouse but that topic's been beaten to dead. Few minor tutorials would be nice though. Oh and what the heck is up with the 140.000 files in 20.000 folders in the installation? Sloppy programming, you'd think Square would know better.I'm gonna continue to play the beta though, after all it's still beta, and they can still improve on things before the actual release. But I hope they actually do fix stuff, else I'd guess it'll really be only the die-hard fanbois playing this game. |

Chat system is pretty fugly at the moment. There's no spam filter in place so a gold spammer was going wild on my server. Blacklisting a person on chat is so retardedly counter-intuitive. To blacklist someone you gotta go to the menu, then click on social lists, then click on blacklist, then enter their full name. Luckily his name was easy to write out. What happens when spammers start entering retarded random letters?
Why not be able to click on their name in the chatbox and have a dropdown menu with a list of commands like in other MMOs? Ugh. |

For some reason i see this being bigger on the PS3 than the PC. If you play this game with a controller you can start to see why. When square enix where designing the game it's clear that the PS3 was at the forefront of their mind.
I think they should have totally went all out PS3 on FF14 and then it would take the crown of MMO console king. Not to mention how hard the PS3 rpg starvation will drive sales.

The keyboard works perfectly fine if not better then any controller. You don't even have to use the mouse in this game if you know what your doing. |
