D50/60 are nothing compared to this. My camera is a digital dslr, so its the size of a digital, but it packs a dslr photo in there. Plus, my camrea shoots in 1080 and even in new Sony 3D, yes 3D, this coming firmware update. My camera has features most cameras do not at this price range. Sweep panorama, twilight mode for night shots. And when i say night, i mean...night. ![]() With that said, your friend has some amazing photo's I really really enjoyed them. And most likely, its his lens that makes them what they are, not the camera....if hes using the d50. Haha |

I see =D Like i said, i dont know anything about cameras.
I like your shots too, personally i dont care if somethings "in the right angle" or w/e as long as a nice overall impression is given, like in your pictures. Sadly i don't know which lens he's using, but it's as large as f*ck D= |

kait, yr photos have pretty enough colors, although it's a shame that you over-edited yr wedding pictures.
Yr use and sense of colors is good. However, yr composition is still well within the beginner range. Here are some basic things you should keep in mind -Rule of thirds (I'm assuming you know what this is) -Balance elements in the photo with each other. (you also have a hard time with this one) -Subjects in focus. (you have a hard time with this one - start using manual focus more or being smarter with where you place the auto focus) -Make use of empty space to make subjects pop. (you understand this well enough, but you don't know yet how to use empty space to balance elements.) You have a lot of work to do. My recommendation: shoot in black and white. Why? Simple. Yr photos are good because they have nice color. That's about it. The colors are very nice, better than a lot of colors I get w/ my pictures. Yr composition is sloppy, though. Taking pics in B&W forces you to get better composition. You can't rely on colors to get a good photo then, but rather on contrast, texture & elements of light. By elements of light I mean the luminosity of the light, not the color of the light. Also, the lines visible in the pictures and the angles of the lines (not the angle at which the photo was taken) are more important. These are all things you are pretty weak in, except for lighting. May sound silly to you to force yrself to shoot in B&W, but shoot in B&W more and you'll see just how much better yr photos will get. |
