So I started playing maplestory a while ago then I quit and now I want to join again. Can someone explain to me the storyline, tips and tricks, and basically how to play the game. Also when you're creating your character, when you have to pick like if you want to be like an explorer or like a duelblade or something like that what is best to pick?

Storyline (Adventurers): Years ago 5 (now 6) adventurers fought to seal away a Dark Force that threatened the land of Maple Story. But now, signs of the Dark Lord is returning so newer recruits are needed to take up arms and fight against the coming darkness!

(Legends): I am Legend. Fear me. I don't know the storyline for them.

(Cygnus): They're Knights, needed by some girl.

There's 2 main stats for each class. You'll only need to assign your AP (Ability Points) into those two stats for maximum efficiency. Skills are completely up to you and your play style. Fight monsters appropriate to your level.

There is no best pick. It's all about play style.
