yay, i was smoking every day for about 4 years and have done several other drugs at the weekend. i never realized how much energy i ve lost with this stuff.

then one day, 10 police men and a dog where raiding our flat cause we where growing weed.

it was the first time that they caught us with narcotics so they made a deal with us: they test us for a year and if our pee is always negative they will not charge us.

that made me stop, for now...

The only thing worse than being an addict is being a quitter.

You aren't a quitter, are you?

I'm physically addicted benzodiazepine. Should I flat out stop taking them I go through withdrawls. The withdrawl effects basically make everything it was helping get worse by 10 fold. The drug is commonly used to sedate agressive patients in hospitals. I can take a lorazepam and all my anger just blows away.

I've done what you're tryign to accomplish. Its a matter of strength of will. Prescriptions and other illegal narcotics.

Try to find a healthy alternative for the first part, itll get easier from there. Some people just don't have the self controll to stay away, you gotta find out what works for you. Only you can do that.

@bonneau - Anti depressants are horrible, completely change your way of thinking. Go through a 2 week detox man, you'll be happy.

I've had my fair share of mdma/e binges a couple years ago, and pharmecudicals ... and you never feel better then when you just bogue the greenery. I wish I could stick to quitting smoking ciggarettes though.

All the best to ya man, believe me after a week or so ... you'll be happy you stopped. ( unless you have a dependant pysical addiction to opiates xD )

It may have been in bad taste, but definitely not spam.

Way more fun than telling you that you should seek out groups or organizations that deal with this sort of thing. And that being in the company of people going through similar situations could really help.

I dont think I will quite smoking. I am not to a point where you can consider me an addict.

I did quit taking everything my doctors prescribed to me since I was 18 (almost 18 years ago...damn). I have to or my nerve damage will get worse. I have tardive dyskinesia, which is irreversible.

It really sucks to, cause I will twitch in my sleep and it wakes me up. It also messes with me during the day too. Cut my hand open one time cause of the nerve problem. I was trying to cut some beef to cook bullgogi (however you spell it).

I do wish I could stop smoking cigarettes though. Nicotine is the worse thing to get addicted to (IMO).
