I'd build a solid diet first before trying to do stuff like that.

Well i'm just saying that your diet shouldn't rely heavily
around protein shakes/mass gainers.
At 14 if you just eat right, and work out hard. You'll gain weight crazy.
Heres a thread about diet for teenagers.

Yeah

Whey Protein is probably the most trusted protein all around.
It mixes well, it tastes great, and it works, although I've tried
tons of others, I'd still go with ON(Optimum Nutrition) Whey,
Which is the the picture I posted. It has everything you need for
a full recovery after a workout. The most important time to take
a protein shake would be after your workout, right after. Or anything
consisting of protein(chicken,steak,etc).

Thats probably the best bang for the buck.

Nothing wrong with getting protein and mass gainer, they are supplement. But I definitely won't recommend you to use mass gainer. It's a waste of money. Real food is much better than mass gainer.

I know there supplements, but at the age of 14.
He shouldn't be relying on a Mass Gainer.
He should build a solid Diet first. Protein shakes
are fine, but watch out they do contain heavy metals,
so don't drink too many.

It's expensive, but if you have a GNC near you you should get a gold card and get money off of it.

just make sure you focus on protein content when you choose what to eat. The cereal i eat(Go Lean Crunch) has 9g of protein per serving compared to lucky charms which i think has like 2g or less. it also contains alot of fiber and whole grains. At 14 you dont need to use much outside of just diet. Whey Protein is good for after a workout. Donut for breakfast? get that cereal or eggs or whole grain peanut butter sandwich. just eat wise.

and theirs no negative to protein unless like carbs you eat more than you use. So just work out and eat a shit ton of protein. and get carb heavy sides. like whole grain rice, pasta, potatoes etc.
