Is there one that you've played that has an awesome story? Does that even exist in MMOs? I haven't fired up Atlantica yet, but I was thinking you know, city of Atlantis, might have a good story. So far I haven't played an MMO with a good story, but then again I suppose story is not the point.

There aren't many games that's F2P with a good story one off the top of my head is lunia online that is pretty story based but it's increadibly CS base now.

If you can afford to buy the game and pay the subsciption i'd also suggest the FFXI or XIV they have a decent story though many are too busy grinding then doing them.
Aika have some translation error but the quest kinda give off a story but it also don't really have a story.
Vindictus seems like it would be following a story but idk i'm not playing it but i might play it for whatever reason i do.

If you go further back into the past Diablo II had a story but idk if you can find that game for sale or any players on it.

Theres probably more just aren't a fantasy type, I just decided it's not my style or Just didn't interest me.

How come FF14 gets the bad press? I've read it's horrible and even Square is giving people incentives to "hang in there" and wait for them to work out issues, but I've never seen anything specific. The game looks nice, but that's all I know about it.

Most likely it's the ingame issue when I was in the OB but my comp couldn't support it that well so I wouldn't know too much about the issue. Then it could be about the similarities between the old one and the new one the fact that only some minor detail about the character and scenery change other then that I think its pretty much the same.

Because there's literally no content in FF14 right now. Shitty interface at the start, no bosses of any kind on release (still none right now AFAIK), no mail box system, no auction house, and the cool down system (I forgot the name of it, but the system that basically limits the amount of exp you can get per class after a certain time spent) got some REALLY bad press, though from what I heard from my brother playing it it's pretty much a non-issue. The game is basically in a late alpha stage right now and they decided to release it probably a year and a half before it was actually ready. As a result people just shunned that thing hardcore.

Sounds like they better go F2P or it will be a total disaster. Even if they did manage to make it a really good game in 2 months, I doubt it would be able to recover momentum to be a success.

APB was a bad game upon release. They did come out with a major patch that actually made the game enjoyable, but that was about 10 days before RTW had to shut its doors due to the losses.

The "just roll it out, we'll patch it later" mentality has gotten worse over the years, but the good thing is the consumers are responding at least a little to let devs know that we don't like un-finished product.

Figure some type of ingame issue and also thought it was wierd on how fast they released it. I found out it was going to be release and waited like a year and the CBT and OBT went by faster then anything else

final fantasy XIV had too many problems to where fans didnt like the nice thing is it will be a F2P game for a good long while, while they take care of what they can which delayed even the PS3 version.

Over all I played the game for a good 24 hours total since I had a free review copy and once done I deleted the game and put it away in the closet never to see light again and save the world one copy of a cruddy game.

I think ill stick to my Ragnarok online, Shin Megami Tensei Online and Dragon Saga or if I really want to spend so much time on a game and spend money ill go to WoW.

I've actually played BoI the game is pretty confusing and level 1-30+ is really easy but I didn't like the 2.5d like graphic kinda reminded me of Diablo 2 but i can coop with that, but the problem is the equipment is also kinda confusing and have a rich community. Also someone recommended vindictus and i'd declined it.
