I picked up Rappelz in January of 2007 and quit it after a year... came back and played for 2 months and then ditched it again.

I played on the Pantera server (pvp server) so there was no penalty for pking, but it was not that fun to kill lowbies and the game just became about getting loot and grinding and leveling.

The one fun thing I liked in Rappelz was the weekend Siege. One guild versus another guild in a battle to own a dungeon. That was pretty fun, but the game client was horrible at handing more than 20-30 characters on screen so it was a lag fest (even for the most powerful computer setups).

I got pissed about the lack of innovation from the developers and told everyone to go play Atlantica Online on the Rappelz forums... that got my account perma banned.. had a level 102 Battle Kahuna with some nice items. ****! Oh well.
