And don't think you can go into party chat to avoid it, because for whatever reason there's a global party chat people use for trading, so that's always full of spam too. Would you like to be a mage in Mabinogi? Too bad you'll have completely insufficient mana to actually do anything for quite a long time. And don't go in thinking you can just cast fireball. You get to "charge" your spells, and if you get hit during the charge you lose the whole thing, how fun. So of course this means you can't play a mage by yourself, you'll need melee friends to keep things off of you. And here's a fun part, by the time you finish charging your fireball they will have killed almost everything in the room, so you get to spend half your mana bar cleaning up for them.

And can someone please explain to me why armor costs several hundred thousand gold and only offers 1 defense? There's not even any sort of enchantment on it, it's just a very expensive shirt. What the hell is the point in the armor shops? The clothes you get in the beginning have the same defense as the expensive stuff, why buy anything new?
