The AKG K81 are a step up from those headphones or at least in my opinion. Everyone has different tastes.
The bass in the AKG K81 are there without being too over powering. It doesn't cover up other parts to a song.

Give me a song you think has good bass and I will tell you how well the bass comes through.

I have also tried some bass tests from various frequencies.

Yeah I figured when I bought Philips that I'd be paying for something that wasn't that great but when I played them I was rather surprised at the quality of sound.

Fairly bassy (wobbly bass) used in dubstep. If that sounds good I'm sold.

Song sounds great and the bass comes out warm and clear.
The headphones were even vibrating a bit.
Like I said the bass is there but it is not going to be very heavy.
There are headphones out there for around the same price with more bass, but I personally don't like most them as they usually muddy up the music.

I guess it's one of those things you have to try yourself.

Skullcandy TI's are crappy quelity. The sound and bass is decent, looks are great to. The Skullcandy TI just likes to break after a month or something, I could show atleast 3 pics of the different skullcandy TI's I had in these past 2 years. Next to all that, the headphones are just to big to walk around with outside. They won't be comfy when you walk around for hours with them on your head. You could at most handle 1-3 hours....

I suggest some nice WeSC bongo's. They're quite affortable now (€78,-), and they have a amazing sound/bass. They also aren't completely covering your head, so it won't look that weird.

What're those headphones called..?
Uhh, something candy.. Yeah, I see people with those. They're tiny and I bought some from the dollar store and they stopped working within 3 months.
I think that's a pretty good deal.

EDIT; Oh, someone already posted them.
I didn't read the whole thread.
