I really want to get into playing MMORPG's. I've tried many times after years of playing Diablo 2, but nothing holds my attention.
I think the problem to me is that you start out being told what to do in most MMORPG's and taking a quest to go here or here, but I don't really care what they want me to do. Nothing really throws you into the story for you to care about what is going on. The only two I've come close to enjoying are D&D Online and Guild Wars. I think what has spurred my interest the most lately is that a bunch of old friends I used to work with asked me to start playing a D&D campaign with them, reluctant as I was because of how nerdy everyone makes it seem, we started playing and I am having a blast. I'm going to continue trying to play D&D Online especially, but any recommendations would be appreciated, thank you! |

If you liked the Guild Wars cutscenes then I recommend getting Dragon Nest once it's released in North America.
Final Fantasy = good storylines EDIT: Download Cave Story. I know you'll read this and think years later - "How come so many people are hyping this? I might as well play." But if you download it now, you'll save yourself the wait
