Brox glares at the mage summoning the new dummy. He nods at him, and starts to inspect the new target. It seems stronger this time, but still, won't be a problem. He takes a close look, and notice a weak point. He take one of his throwing axes, and aims. And unleashes it with huge force, and goes straight through the dummys leg. Its down on the ground, and no more challenge for him. He walks over to the wall behind it, and pulls his axe out. Holsters it, and walks back to the dummy, sitting down.

Fras walks around the perimeter as well, nodding at the mages and asking them questions like "I bet none of those weaklings destroyed one of the good dummies, did they?" or "Good work, mages. Remember to reinforce them a lot if you see a good guy.". He then notices Brox as he "defeats" the dummy with a cheap yet very effective move. He beckons one of the mages to him. "Give him one of the good ones." He smirks. The mage walks to Brox. "A real challenge for you this time!" the wizard says, smiling, as he begins to summon a dummy. This time it's bigger... But there's something with this one. It glows slightly, and it floats. Junctures are better crafted, and its arts can move. It's fully coated in metallic armor, with a long blade on its right "arm" and a very large, rectangular targe on his left arm. Fras smirks to himself. Let's see how he'll handle this one, he thinks.
--- The TD-52 is one of the glories of the Army Mages and an excellent training foe. It's not the strongest of the dummies, but it's a good challenge to every rookie. Some even get wounded from it... A few died, but that's not relevant. It's fully covered in shiny, blue and white metallic armor. Even the dummy itself is made of a light metal, and not of fragile wood. It really looks like a human, but it lacks the typical features that make living beings as they are. Instead of eyes, it's got two shiny blue spheres, a magical spell that allows the dummy to select a target and watch its movements. It's a quick dummy, with awesome defensive reflexes, yet it's not strong, despite that it looks like it. There's no chance he can be outsmarted, though. Perhaps outpowered... Brox eyes his new opponent, he can tell by the looks of it that it will take more then a simple throwing axe to bring this one down. He comes to a decision, because he does not know anything about his current foe, he will try it out.
Brox unholsters a Throwing axe, and launches it towards the dummy. The dummy easly avoids it. Brox snorts. "It seems quite agile, and from the way of its movement, not to dumb." He picks the throwing axe up, and back away from the dummy abit. He starts to consider the best way to take this foe down. It takes a while, but eventually, he comes to a conclusion. All he acually needs to be able to defeat his foe, is to get close to it. He turns around and removes something from his backpack. He keeps it behind his back all the time. He then, as fast as he can, launches an throwing axe towards the dummy, and as suspected, it moves out of the way. And as it does, it focus on the axe itself. So brox takes the chance to throw a small smoke bomb at the ground infront of dummy. Taking that opportunity, Brox charges forward, not leaping, but instead, gliding under the floating dummy, forcing his axes deep into its back. Making it crack, even with its metallic armor.

Blaez walks up to a un used training dummy and begins to examine it first, "Hmmmm" He lets out. He pulls out his dagger in his left, holding it in a stab-ready(you know..hammer fisting it down..? nevermind) position, and grabs his small axe and holds it in the other...
Blaez begins by slowly taking a few weak shots at the dummy, to get his technique down, and proper form, he pretends he is parying an enemy attack axe to the right of him.. and while using the axe swing momentum he steps forward readily with his dagger and darts it past the dummies neck, leaving a small scratch on the neck of the dummy. He steps back and practices this technique a few more times, and gets faster each time. After a few swings.. Blaez begins taking strong swings with the axe at diffrent body parts, he also throws in a push kick at the chest of the dummy, which Blaez believes can come in handy, Blaez was trained with monks with various types of weapons, including hand to hand, he was taught how to survive if unarmed and how to disarm enemies. |

His instincts told him to remain unseen, or at least unnoticed.
As a result, he made sure his "Yes Instuctor" wasn't louder than anyone else. He had yet to do something, well stupid, like yawning or some other movement that might call for attention. When they had been dismissed, his first goal was to explore the site. It was something he always did, just to feel safe. Later he had decided to test his skills at the shooting range, there were different targets, some closer than the others. He decided to pick an easy target at first. The arrow almost sang as it went through the air. Bullseye. he grabbed another one and continued. Over at the dummies, The dolls not the swordsmen, someone roared. It was a battlecry and he could see that an orc had just smashed the leg of a dummy. Better it than me; he smiled. A few more bullseyes before gathering the arrows and starting over again. The flock was very averagely, almost one of every race. Orcs, Humans and Elves, some he hadn't even seen before. The more the merry as he remembered the old saying. He was just a little worried; what did they need so many recruits for? A quest or war perhaps. He walked over to one of the fellows with the dark blue ropes, "Sorry, but is there a libary around here?" Last edited by TheQness; 12-10-2010 at 10:22 AM. |

The TD-52 cracks partially at Brox's strike. But it doesn't seem to neutralize it just yet. The magic-fueled dummy's sensors and limited "brain" manage to understand the technique the orc used...The broken or damaged pieces are kept together by Arcane magic momentairly as the dummy tries to quickly rotate around itself and send a quick yet rather weak shield slam on Brox's head, which is probably very close to the ground and thus easy to target.
--- Fras keeps walking around the quarter. He glances now and then at the orc, following his fight with the dummy with a smirk printed on his face when he does so. He walks aside Blaez and nods at him. "Very good. Quickness and technique over destructive force. Those dummies are limited, after all. Keep on the good work." he says, with a professional and grave tone. He then keeps on walking, already scolding another recruit. "What do you think you're doing? Are you going to tickle your opponents on the battlefield or what?!" --- One of the mages is stopped by the elf. He looks at him and nods. "Look, it's easy to explain. You just exit the shooting range and head south - In that case there's the entrance to the Mage Tower, and the library is the building right aside it. You can also get to the library from the exit of the dummy training square, but then you'll be in front of the Church - You'll have to turn right, then the library will be in front of you. He smiles at the elf. He mutters something and summons a scroll. He holds it out to the elf. "And take one of those maps. Who knows, you might put a note or something. Or if you got a bad sense of orientation, they'll save you many times! Trust me on that. Have a good day!" After this, the mage says "Actually... We should put more of those maps around. People might get lost." After a while, a few maps are scattered around the area, one on the Officers' Square newsboard, and one attached to walls now and then. There's also a pile of them that can be found in front of the dormitories. --- Map: ![]() There is a note behind the map. "Warning: Scaling might not be 100% correct. (( OOC: I did this little thing myself. I'm no master at drawing, but hey, it took quite some time to do it! I'll extend it or make other ones if the RP will go on, and with the other RPs coming soon. )) Last edited by Andry94; 12-10-2010 at 02:43 PM. |

After being "complimented" on Blaez's fighting style, by Fraes. Blaez nods at him and and takes a deep breath from the practising.
Blaez stops for a second to observe all the other recruits, he can see that there are some recruits that look like they shouldn't belong here, but Blaez has no place to judge he feels. Everyone has their reasons for wanting to come and be here. Although the young recruits may only be here because they hear stories about how war is glorious and exciting, Blaez has never faught in battle.. but he has been through situations that make it clear that "war is not fun" Blaez especially notices Brox, the Fell Orc, he was amazed by his brute force and power "Sure glad he's on our side" he whispers to himself. |

"Foul magic play."Brox thinks to himself. He sits down, looking at the damage he inflicted on the dummy. He then rememberd what the village elder taught him in his youth, before he choosed the path of a Berserker. Every youngling had the right to choose his own path, as a hunter, mage or a warrior. Brox had started out as, the first of his kind, a Demon Hunter. He was a mix between hunter and mage, so he was taught some magic skills. He stands up, and raises his palm against the Magical Dummy. He mutters a few words, and then, from nowhere, a bunch of black wines comes shooting up from the ground. It pins his foe down, binding it. He takes that opportunity and rushes towards it, taking a leap, only using one of his axes, smashes it into the dummys skull, with all his might. The result will soon reveal itself.

The dummy stands no chances against the Fel Orc's fury. Its skull is smashed and shattered as the rest of the dummy loses all magical power and falls down, almost intact but powerless. One of the mage rushes towards the dummy. "Woah, easy there. Those take a lot of time to be built. But really, good job. I can't provide you a stronger one for now nor I can give you orders, but I suppose you can take a rest." But before he can say anything else Fras hastens his way towards Brox.
"Eager to destroy, are we? This is really a good job you're doing, trainee, but remember..." He smirks slightly. "If you're here, you probably want to join the King's Army. And either you get lucky or you'll be assigned to a special battalion, or you'll have to stand in a straight line of soldiers, smaller or bigger than you. Strength is good, but remember to stand still and consider you're not alone in the battlefield. When you grasp that, I doubt anything will stop you." Fras speaks with the typical "teacher" tone. He doesn't try to be friendly, but he doesn't wish to be unfriendly as well. He gives Brox a quick nod. "Do anything you wish. Ask a mage for a dummy or something, go around... You can even give one of the weaker recruits a little push or stimulation. I'll call you up shortly anyway." He then walks away. |
