Lightbulb Crimson Skies Online

Old players like me remember this game, but I'm one of the few dedicated fans to the game, and of the fewer dedicated to PC version. I am getting tired of waiting for a new series installment and have not come to trust what these "Smith & Tinker" folks are up to, so I bring the idea here. I also post here to seek out anyone still playing the PC game online, or seeking the most used (if used at all) server running for it.

The thing I saw wasted in the Xbox version was the avoidance of the well worked, deeply thought out political background and North American map, which would give great purpose to it being an MMO of some sort. It seemed to me that the engine used in Aces High would be great for this. It would come in multiple maps, but can be easily linked to a continuos time frame and economy to make it like a cross between games like UWO and EVE (I ranted about this on an earlier post). Continual boarder skirmishes and dirty politics mean great places for military, privateering, and piracy throughout the nation. Freindly nations and prohibition mean for trading and smuggling.

The list goes on and on, and my eyes are always whatching for a new installment or anything of the sort, along with anyone still willing to play the PC version over GameSpy or something.

Update:
I actually found a site, www.montanaraiders.com, that is still running and playing the PC version of Crimson Skies, and even had a Q&A with Jordan Weisman (the creator of Crimson Skies and Mechwarrior). This site is still up, but even after viewing Weisman's responses to the Q&A, Smith & Tinker still have me on shaky ground. This suggestion is still up.
