it's simple to avoid it, either you jump every few seconds, or run far away from him after attacking. you can "see" the blue ice aura and "hear" the sound. on normal road he gives u 20seconds, on expert 15, master 10, kings is around 5~7.
and the stone is a quest item, so there is no other place to get it.
