Default Naxasius: A CakePHP powered Game Engine (opensource)

This is for game developers with (some) knowledge about PHP and looking for a tool to create and build their own browser game(s).

A Free and Open source Game Engine to create a browser MMORPG
I've worked for over 3 years to build a browser game what I had in mind but had a few fall backs and fresh starts. End 2010 I decided to make this project Open source and placed it on Github.

Hero's, Monsters, Items and much more
Those who are common with the great browser game Fallensword know the concept: It's a hero based game where you (a Character) can walk through a fantasy World and can get Quests, kill Mobs, loot Items, talk to Npcs and much more. Here is a short list of features:
  • Sprite based Maps including with Tiles and Obstacles;
  • Npcs with interaction through Conversations;
  • Monsters;
  • Items and weapons;
  • Stats;
  • Quests;
  • Characters;
  • Classes;
  • and much, much more.

Open source?
Yes, this game is Open source, licensed under the terms of Creative Commons 3.0 <http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/> and it's build on the CakePHP Framework <http://cakephp.org>.
The software includes a playable Game Interface and a very developed admin. After downloading the source you can start immediately creating a game. I've added some useful resources to create Worlds.

Show me more!
The admin (what is used to create the Game World) if very far developed. You have a very easy-to-use tool to create Maps but also to make Quests and Npcs. A cool thing of Npcs is, is that they can talk in Fallout 3 style. So players can have multiple options to answer.
Oke, you want proof? Here it goes.

Of course you're free to modify everything you see.

Todo?
At the moment I'm working very hard to get my project up and running on Github. There is already information in the Wiki and I will add some more features and todo's as soon as possible.

As you're excited as I'm you should not wait any longer and follow the links below!
