That's more on the lines of simplified, rather then softcore. If it was more softcore, they'd probably take out the feature were your skin peels off.
Also, does that guy have a sprinkler system on his back?
Edit: Playin Team Fortress 2 with Jrg. I ended up getting my *** kicked towards the end. It's getting harder and harder to not goof off...
