((OOC: Kain, I mentioned earlier that there weren't that many wind users. :/ But if my post can remain, (I wrote it BEFORE the forest post *sobs*) you could say it came from Niola, without really knowing it...)
***Flashback***
Niola's huge, childish eyes fluttered open, slowly but surely. The rays of sunlight seeped through condensed clouds and effortlessly awoken Niola by dazzling her sensitive eyes and causing her to search mindlessly for the source of light. Rising her head upward, Niola could barely see the streaks of light brightening the gloomy sky, as though some form of obsticle was obsurring it. Trying to clear her vision, Niola realized she was trapped under debris and other remains of what used to be...her village. Suddenly realizing what happened, the struggling child punched the "rocks" away from her with the help of the wind. Then she scrambled out and looked around. The scene was far from the beautiful and peaceful scenery that greeted her everyday; it was grotesque and depressing.
However, the condition of the village was not what shocked her. It was the state the people within the village were in. Most of them--if not all of them--laid hidden within the rubble...dead. A frightened scream echoed through the destroyed village, yet no one would come to comfort her. Instead, Niola sat rocking in the tragic remnants of the village, sobbing and wailing to the Heavens. Niola wanted to understand--she wanted to know why she, of all people, was the only one able to weep and scream out to no one in particular. Everyone was covered in blood. Their eyes were motionless and the deep crimson blood flowed from their lifeless bodies...their unmoving, cold, blood-stained bodies... The village was a death pit, dragging the souless shells into its depths as Niola, the only survivor, allowed her saddened, unknowing tears trickle down her cheeks.
"What happened...God, what happened to make so many innocent souls get taken..." Niola cut off from her interrogation briefly, only to stand up, face the Heavens, and shout, "WHY AM I THE ONLY ONE THAT IS ALLOWED TO LIVE?! WHY DO I HAVE TO SEE MY FRIENDS'--MY FAMILY'S SOULESS CORPSES?! WHYYYYYYYYYY?!"
Still, no one listened. No one answered the baffled and terrified child. No one would explain why Niola was left to live, while everyone else had their souls ripped from their wounded bodies as the village came tumbling down. No one...nothing...and yet...
***End of Flashback?***
Niola could hear it. That sweet, corrupt melody that played to an audience of one, as if asking for her to repeat it to the world around her. It seemed to wrap around her and motion for her to sing. Helpless, Niola obeyed and opened her mouth. Yes...that same devilish, holy song would be repeated for the tormented students who too no longer held onto their will. She, like them, was a puppet now...a soul captured momentarily to carry out someone else's deed, no matter how pure or impure it was. The only difference was that Niola did not have some kind of device within her. The only thing that was strung to her defenseless soul was the string of hatred and regret. Hatred coming from her inability for not being able to resist the regret of losing someone she loved. Regret from her inability to bring back the ones she loved from the ones she hated.
And so Niola stumbled away from Ben, her eyes glazed over in a dreamy coating. Her legs wobbled a bit, as though the puppeteer was having trouble moving Niola's body correctly, like a sleep walker dragging their legs to wherever their subconscious body decided to head to. From the manner Niola carried herself, someone could have easily grabbed her, yet they would soon find out that this was no easy takes. With each step, a steady wind began to build with momentum, swirling around her body and warding away those that tried to interfere with the proceeding. All the while, a rich murmer was pouring from Niola's lips, rising in volume along with the wind. The closer Niola grew to the academy, the louder and clearer the mysterious tone could be heard. Finally, a coloratura soprano note filled the air -- a high-pitched sound that transformed into a miraculous melody that could make even an aggressive bully cry (in the inside, at least). Unfortunately, Niola's inner power, which came forth whenever such an angelic melody was performed by her, did not harmonize well with the wind. Almost immediately, a wind storm developed around the forest and headed for the academy, which Niola was facing. To make matters worse, Niola's body was nearly enclosed in a cocoon of sorts, and she was levitating off the ground, her body limp and facing upward, as though her stomach was the only part that was being held up. The song still continued...
((OOC: Please do not make me rewrite this! Niola has basically gone beserk, caused by her coloratura soprano singing, (the highest pitch of singing I could find that I liked) which does not harmonize with the wind. Since Niola can manipulate the wind, her condition causes it to transform into a wind storm of sorts; it is not super powerful, but it does make it harder to move around. Even though the wind is acting as a shield around her, it can still be pierced. I just wanted to make some sort of obstacle that lasts more than two or three posts. D: Obviously, when she is "rescued", Niola will remain in an extended coma state. T_T She will also be dealt severe wounds caused from the over-use of her powers...drat...what have I done! ._. ))
