It's not something I'm going to discuss in detail, in public, Kuturu.

I made a pretty clear promise to those on staff that I respect, who work hard, that I wouldn't let the subject derail threads and I intend to keep that promise. Even if none of them seem remotely bothered that they let people shit on my name more often than I ever defend myself.

It'd make my day too if I was someone who is used to most other mods letting him get away with murder. You're not saying anything surprising.

How is what you've done elsewhere relevant at all?

Some people might not care if you walk into their home with muddy shoes and put your feet on a table, but some would. Saying, "...but that other person lets me." wouldn't exactly convince them.

This is all pointless, though, because you do get away with it. So do many. You didn't with me, hence your rather telling joy at considering me being retired as a victory.

Let's clear a few things up here.

The whole N-word thing. We don't care whether or not it's socially acceptable to say it to black people, or if it's used as part of a joke. We just don't allow it here. We rule against its use and we don't plan on overturning that ruling anytime soon. It makes it easier for us to be honest, it's a touchy subject and we don't have to put up with "but I'm black and he's black so it's okay" responses.

Sorry about that. It's just how it is.

As for Norrin Radd, I don't appreciate your swipes at the moderation team in the slightest. A lot of us have been looking after these boards for many years, and your sly references to how poorly we operate now that you've been pink-named is extremely offensive. We appreciate what you did for the boards, but I'm not the only person who has noticed how chill the forums are these days. Nevertheless we always have, and always will enforce the rules. If you think a post is violating any of them then click on the "Report" button and we will take a look. We're always happy to receive feedback from members, so if there's something you would like us to change then Suggestions & Feedback is there.

Norrin Radd is no longer a member of staff so you can all stop complaining about him. A lot of you don't like him and his appointment on staff brought a lot of drama over the years, but can we put this issue to bed, before I shoot myself?

I'm actually saying that I'm a lot nicer to people and less inclined to break the rules here. This is why people hated you Norrin, You assume that you're always right. I like people here and the mods too, I may come off as an asshole and I really am one. But I dislike seeing people that I've known for a while leave is not fun, Especially the members of ONRPG. Also the only people I have even attacked aggressively are mostly trolls and fools that shouldn't even be here. I even told a member the other day that I didn't like him, But I have yet to try to knock him down a peg or flame him. He's a normal ONRPG member and that's why. Just because I dislike him doesn't mean I'm going to torture him for being here.

Swipes at the moderation team?

Considering all I said was that I don't think it's cool how that you allow people to repeatedly shit on my name, how is that a swipe? I have no problem with you or the moderation team. That's precisely why I never made any kind of a problem when I left, and people who wanted to do so in my name were told, personally, to back off.

There's no swiping going down at all. Any issues I stated, I've stated before. I've repeatedly said before and during my time as a mod that I think the amount of warnings a member can gather up before being punished, sometimes even without, is a joke. This is not a new opinion. So, I resent the fact that you're accusing me of such. I don't think you operate poorly at all, I think you do an admirable job considering the tripe that comes through here. Any criticisms I just voice have been held and expressed for years.

I have no problems with you or anyone with a green name, or orange name for that matter. Even so, do you not consider that the reason the forums had "chilled" is because I'm not constantly defending myself?

Note that I said DEFENDING myself, because as the prior thread proved, I get attacked and flamed even when I'm not here. It's been quiet because they haven't been told to knock it off by anyone besides a couple of members and Xenonight. Bryan, maybe.

My lack of presense has not somehow cured the forum of any plague I was imagined to have brought upon it and you should know that from the thread in question. I brought that to light and wanted to put an end to it so that, believe it or not, all of the staff would hopefully have less to deal with. I wanted to show that they had absolutely no excuse to rage at me anymore, because even when they got what they wanted, they still couldn't let me go, so the problem was utterly theirs to fix. The thread was locked, though.

I let that go, but now you're actually accusing me of swiping at people I have nothing but respect for, even now? That's just out of line. If you're gonna let people take massive swipes at me and not step in to stop them (Which you visibly have not on multiple occassions), then I will defend myself. My first and primary option is to keep quiet and let you guys do your jobs with trolls and flamers, always. For example, had the other thread been locked, I wouldn't have said a thing, because I'd have noticed that you were not tolerating the flaming. I'd have done the same for you or any staff member.

You didn't, though. I don't know why it was allowed, or was allowed in this thread, but it was.

If the best you can bring to the table is, "You think you're always right.", then why even come to the table? I've done and dusted that trite and tired argument multiple times. Rather than blindly accusing me of always THINKING I'm right, maybe you need to stop the bias and actually consider that you just have a severe issue with being wrong, or me being the one that shows that.

I don't particularly care what saddens you. People who left did so of their own accord and people that were banned deserved to be banned. You're not getting any regret out of me, because I have none.

You don't score any brownie points for saying that you taunt and aggressively abuse people...because they are trolls...and don't deserve to be here. That is literally the worst excuse and I'd imagine any good moderator would tell you that YOUR attitude doesn't belong here either, because it's their job. Not yours.

If by "peg back" you mean "reply to", then yes. I am very guilty of replying. I'm not sorry. As for flaming, I don't flame, I don't abuse and I do not torment. I recognise you'd love to believe otherwise, but it's genuinely not true. Say what you like about how I DO post, but to suggest I have been an abusive, aggressive monster who drives members from this forum in droves is, quite frankly, nonsense.

Even in situations like this, I deal with people like YOU with way more civility than you even deserve. I just wish you'd recognise that. You're too busy insisting, to me, that I flame when you should be recognising that I'm talking to you in a civil manner. It's more than I can say for you.

I don't sh*t talk members once they're gone either, and if anyone had reason to it would be me. I returned to find a thread more or less dedicated to a debate about me. Don't talk about respect if you're not going to give it. I give respect if it's earned, but you not having my respect does not mean I talk to you like crap. Learn the difference.
