Before I get banned for posting how I've been banned before:

For my class later on in the year we're gonna get a project to do that fake stock market game with 10k fake money.
I'm wondering what a good stock to invest in would be. I want a fun stock to follow that I can get excited for gaining fake money about. Last time I had a lame stock that hardly grew.

Holy crap? Really? I was doing the same stock market project for my Economic Class like 2 months ago for my High School. We invested blindly in Consolidated Edison, Inc., Activision Blizzard, Inc, Apple Inc., Exxon Mobil Corporation, and Target Corporation because we didn't want to research. At the end of the project, our teacher gave us a 10 point extra credit because our group gained the most money throughout the class. Up until now, all of our investments are positive and we are up about $686.

The big chain super markets usually carry their share prices well, also mining companies and Banks (In Australia).

Netflix doubled it stock last year and will probably only increase this year. It's slowly taking away from Redbox and Blockbuster is still in bankruptcy. Ask if you can get private stocks as well (buy from an insider) if so then say you want to put all 10k into facebook which should go IPO in 2012.
