Date that other girl you started to like. Of course you're going to be attracted to your ex, but if you just go back to her without dating any other girls first you're going to lose her again. Might be a few months; but there is a 95% chance you guys will split up again.
Date another girl, let your ex be jealous of you. Don't let her just waltz back into your life and take you so easily. You're an attractive young adult. Other girls will like you. Your ex needs to learn that if she ever gets you back again she better hold on tighter. Its a must to date another girl before you go back to your ex so the way you act is different.
You'll even notice how your ex will act differently around you.
And saying she likes your best friend is to make you jealous because you said you like another girl.. and she got jealous of you.

Ignore her, keep her as a friend, maybe make her a side thing - but date other girls before you go back to her. Seriously, if you finish highschool with experience with only one girl you're going to regret it later.
