Default Question for the computer techies out there on framework 3.5

I've been trying my damnedest to install Microsoft .NET framework 3.5 SP1 for some time now, and every time I attempt it, it gives me an error during the setup and it won't install.

It's very difficult, as a gamer, not to have this because many newer games seem to require it, and I feel left out of some games like Bloodline Champions, for example. *pouts*

I run Windows XP, if that's any help, and I'm not very computer savvy. >.>

Do you have enough space on the drive you're trying to install it to? I had this same problem and that was how I fixed it.

If anyone would like me to build a rig, I'd prefer it to be in a thread in the tech section rather than PM. Thank you.

It was a 1603 error, so when I did my Google search it basically told me there could be dozens of problems that cause a 1603 error.

Still, it's fixed now, miracle of miracles. I don't know how it happened, but I started with 1.1, 2.0, and 3.0. 3.5 wouldn't install because of some 2.0a issue or something.

I installed 4.0, and it worked great, and then I tried a new game I was looking at (Bloodline Champions), thinking 4.0 would be 'better' than 3.5. It had me install 3.5 which is required for the game. It installed like a charm. I couldn't do this before I installed 4.0, so I guess it's completely functional, now; even received an update this morning on my computer for the 4.0 that was installed.

About the game? I can't get the movement scheme to work right with my left hand. It's very awkward. Oh well. >.>

Maybe it has something to do with your Storage since most of the errors in downloading are caused by insuffcient space in your HDD
