Hi all. So I was wondering if I should look to upgrade any component on my computer. I have recently become infatuated with Tera Online for Korean version and am looking to play it more efficiently. I get an average of 30 FPS on it...but when a lot of stuff goes on at once on the screen, it drops to like 20ish...not to mention that it eats up a lot of RAM~ keeping me from multi-tasking (internet, video making program, etc...)
These are the recommended requirements for Tera Online: OS - Windows XP, Vista, 7 CPU - Intel Core2 Duo E6750 2.66G/AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ RAM - 2 GB at least GPU - Geforce 8800GT/Radeon HD 3870 Hard Drive - 25 GB DirectX - 9.0c These are my specs: Quote:
================================ Anyone know if I should get extra RAM? 4 GB of RAM is nice but if I am multi-tasking, its definitely not enough. What about my motherboard? should I upgrade? my CPU? GPU? Any help is appreciated

You are fine right now.
Most likely you need to just clean out some stuff on your OS and configure it a little better to eat less RAM. I can run any game just fine on 2 gigs. TERA might not be optimized that well. |
