Default Dead Space Aftermath *spoilers*

Who has seen this movie? I just watched it and I must admit that it was one of the worst movies ever seen so far. The first Dead Space movie was a ton better than this.

I'll start off with the constant retarded 3D to 2D and viceversa transition. The 3D animation is crap, any student who has some basic knowledge in 3D modeling could make 100% character images. The 2D part was flawless though, just like in the first movie.

They can't even ****ing show 2 gunshot wounds which were way too obvious and you could even pinpoint the impact points. But let's rather allow the character bleed out from nothing.

Note that the "present" events in the movie are in 3D but when they are telling the story what happened before, that is animated in 2D.

The next thing are those godawful fake accents. God, my ears just bleed everytime I hear them. When those 4 survivors are found after the Necromorph attack and are transported to safety to another ship they are interrogated. When each and one of them speaks the character looks, surroundings are different everytime(they all are telling the same story pretty much). A white(pale) caucasian-mexican guy turns into a dark brown latino dude all of a sudden.

The development of the story is completely retarded, tough guy(like Hulk-tough attitude) goes to sissy in an instant and is all of a sudden like a nerdy highschool boy with glasses and pimples on his face.
The general idea isn't that bad but the way it unwraps is just awful.

The acting...yes for an animated movie, is just terribad. I am starting to wonder how much the actors cost them. 100$?

If I am not mistaken this movie is a prologue to Dead Space 2 so the unexplained ending and a lot of other unexplained things may be cleared up during the 2nd game.

In the end you just watch this movie for shits and giggles and the enormous amount of gore it has

There isn't much to laugh about. I would say facepalm or pity. The general idea of the movie was good. But it seems they deliberately seeked out a team of terrible people to make this movie as bad as possible because it is really hard to make something this bad without intention to do so.

EDIT: I would stream if I could but my internet is so bad you would die from waiting.

ive seen it, it sucked so damned hard, they kept changing the damn artists again after every 3d part like in dante's inferno,

one moment that kuttler guy's daughter is an african-american, the next she looks asian.

I agree that this movie was terribly bad in just about ever aspect, but I only watched it since it was a prologue to DS2. The ending is explained in DS2, i dont know about the other unexplained stuff youre referring to because you didnt state what they are. I finished DS2 today, its FUGGING awesome lol.

Well that's disheartening.

I just finished Dead Space today and I plan on going on a binge this week by watching Downfall, Aftermath, and then playing Dead Space 2.

Dead Space has never given me so much paranoia in a horror game.

FFS, I'm playing it hard on my first playthrough, and I at chapter 3 with that giant pillar of DOOM CHARGING AT ME AND SMASHING ME.

Just watched Aftermath. Enjoyed it a lot more than Downfall, actually. Although the CGI was beyond horrendous, the 2D animation was superb. Yeah there was a different artist/director for every flashback scene, but it fits in with the story because each style is unique to a character's flashback.

As far as the story goes Aftermath was structured a little better than the previous film and the characters were more three-dimensional than any others in the Dead Space franchise. Unlike Downfall, which was mostly about gratuitous and shocking violence, this film tried a little harder to tell a good tale.

Overall, a good gap-filler for the series but someone who hasn't played the games probably wouldn't enjoy it as much.
