And katana just means blade （刀） in kanji, so you are basically using katana in 4/5 forms (or "mastery" as rikusama refer to)...? (Unless you wanna go into the details that 重撃 is a notachi etc.) You already start out with the defense (守護) style, the long blade one is heavy attack (重撃), the dual one (巧迅) is agility-based, the one with 薙刀 and spear (壮術) are healer/buffers, and the short sword one (念術) is caster... Currently, you can have 3(?) styles at most, with each style maxing at 40 dan.
