...erm, hi there. ^^ *ducks behind nearby wall* I would like to apologize for my absence. It seems having a concussion makes it very hard to remember things, like RPGs. And after I recovered, it was college and scholarship time. But I am now de-stressed and I will be back for now! I hope you enjoy this remake since last time I abruptly left...sorry about that

Eons ago, back before there was such things as time, there was an ancient civilization known as Utopia. This place was, as its name said, perfect. Or so they thought. This great kingdom was protected by a secret society known as the Elementals. They had long ago harnessed the powers of nature to great the wonderful world that had once prospered so greatly. The powers were each held within a crystal that each carried, protected by the Elemental beast in which was given the task of aiding the Elementals. The Elementals protected their world from total destruction and despair by using their powers for good.

But, not everything was perfect. An ancient evil had lain dormant for many eons, feeding off of the evils of the world. Once it had become strong enough, it erupted from the core of the world, unleashing its demons upon all of the people. The Elementals were not strong enough to fight off the demons alone, so they joined forces, fusing all of their crystals together to create the Sphere. This stone was used to expel of all the evil from the world. But the evil creature had not been totally defeated, and tried to steal the Sphere to use it for evil. The Elementals sacrificed themselves, defeated the evil and sending it back to the depths of hell from which it came. The Sphere was destroyed. The Crystalline Creature that had aided the Elementals were able to harness the powers again, locking themselves and the powers into crystal orbs until the Elementals would be needed again. They stayed hidden for all of eternity. Until now.

You don't know it yet, but you have just been chosen by destiny to become the next Elemental. The creature has come to you, it is your destiny. Will you accept this task? Decide quickly, for the evil that once lay dormant has fed off of humanities evils, and will be awakened very soon. It is your choice to save the universe from utter destruction. Choose wisely.

You have just entered the world of the Keepers of the Crystals.

This is set in modern day Japan. Each of the Keepers is a teenager at a high school. It’s a honors high school for gifted students, so either naturally intelligent or a hard worker or really good at music, sports, writing, etc… You will find out more as we go along. Our story begins on the way to an annual field trip to a nearby nature reserve. Here, we will discover our powers. Your crystalline form is essentially the original crystal warriors manifesting themselves, almost like a reincarnation. Your crystal beasts will become locked away in your hearts, unlocking them when you meditate. You can communicate with them within your mind, as well as visit them in a meditative state or in your dreams. They will aid you on your journey.


Rules:
-Obviously no godmodding, taking control, etc…
-Please don’t use the same character you have on every other RPG, it makes things boring and confusing
-BE CREATIVE, this is supposed to be fun so go crazy with it!
-Nobody is perfect so make flaws! The more the better!
-If you want to drop out please tell me first, I want a smoothly running rpg where it will last more then two pages
-Be literate; please no little one or two line posts, at least a paragraph or two, preferably more!
-Please color code either your text or your speech so we can easily differentiate between thoughts and speech

Name: Ayame Fuse
Nickname: Aya
Age: 17
Appearance:
Aya is slightly taller then the average Japanese teenage girl with a slim waist and lean body type. She is thin, with small curves and sinewy muscles. She looks rather scrawny, but is naturally athletic and is much more powerful then she looks. She has long dark hair that is rather straight and reaches to her mid back if left out. She has a nearly symmetrical face with high cheekbones and piercing blue/grey eyes. She could be seen as very beautiful but doesn't see herself as that way. Her hair is straight and very dark. So dark in fact, that it has a purple hue to it. Her bangs are cut straight across her forehead, right below her eyebrows. She has wide eyes, a small nose, and freckles sprinkle the bridge of her nose and cheeks. Her lips are un-proportional, and she often chews on her larger lower lip when she is concentrating or nervous. She is usually seen in her school uniform: a grey pleated skirt with dark blue trim, a white collared shirt, a dark blue asymmetrical vest with black trim, a blue ribbon tie, black socks that reach up her thighs, white shoes, and a white headband.
Personality: Aya is what you call a nerd. She is very intelligent and can be very cynical. She rather spend her time studying or learning a new language, instrument, etc… then hanging out with her “friends.” She is very hard on herself, has low self-esteem, and is quiet. She rarely opens up to others and tries to have a hard exterior. She is very analytical and is quick to criticize others. She tends to over think things and believes that people as a whole are bad.
Bio/History: Aya is from a middle class family. Both her parents are very hard on her and expect perfection. She grew up under strict rule, always try to please them, to no avail. She continued to excel in classes, always consuming new information. She finally decided to enroll into Akira High School for Gifted and Talented Students. She thought that acceptance would gain her parents approval. They remained indifferent.

Crystalline Form-
Power: Ice
Beast: Wolf
Beast Appearance: Avalon is a large arctic wolf. He stands at five foot tall, with piercing blue eyes and massive paws. He is completely white, almost blindingly so.
Weapon of Choice: A sword. It is thicker then a rapier but thinner then a broadsword.
Appearance: Aya is stripped of her uniform and placed into a suit of armor. But the style is very feminine. It is a dress of armor coming very high on her thighs for easy mobility. The top is much like a dress, but plated with metal. It is sleeveless with shoulder blades and metal gauntlets that reach up past her elbows. She wears brown boots up to her lower thighs with metal plating winding around it. The pattern on her armored dress is ivy like. Her breast plate has an intricate design of some sort of tribal scripture. A large blue ribbon is tied around her waist, flowing out behind her and her hilt has a similar ribbon wrapped around it.
Attacks:
Ice Blade- self-explanatory. She creates another sword out of ice so she fights with dual swords, one metal and one ice.
Frostbite- the typical ice attack, can either hurl chunks of ice at the enemy, make the enemy very cold, or cause extreme freezer burn, each being painful(i.e. frostbite)
Absolute Zero- creates snowstorm that completely encases the enemy in snow (for a large group) or can freeze the atoms of a person to literally freeze them on the spot (for one enemy at a time)
Weakness:
Physical- She is agile and quick, but not physically strong. She is stronger then she looks, but not much. And she is quick, but has poor endurance.
Mental- She tends to overanalyze things instead of just reacting, she anticipates too much. She often can talk or think herself out of the correct choice.
Elemental- Fire attacks/ Intense Heat

Appearance: She is about the average size of a teenage girl. She is very beautiful and her body is very shapely. She wears skinny jeans and tight t shirts. She also wears a black hoodie. On the hoodie is a snake. Also she has a tattoo on her shoulder that is the Japaneses word for snake. Her hair is dyed multiple colors
Personality: She is kinda mean. Because peoples feelings about her can change in an instant due to her abilities so she kinda separates herself from people
Bio/History: When she was younger her father hit bad luck. He took to drinking and soon became a bad father. He became abusive and mean. Her mother tried to protect her by separating them from her father. He didn't like that so he attacked her mother. To protect Juli, her mother shot her father. After all the aftermath of that her mother became different. She was depressed and sad. Her mother went from loving Juli to completely ignoring Juli. She grew sick too. So know Juli has to take care her mother, who suddenly treats her like crap, and take care of herself. School life isn't easy for her either. She can control what people feel about her, but she knows that it isn't real. If she doesn't make people like her they generally don't. She has no friends and practically no family. Despite this sad childhood she is a very good student with excellent grades. She is also very good at drawing and she taught herself how to play the piano, base, and the guitar.

Beast: Snake
Beast Appearance: It is a giant purple snake with a tattoo of a tear under it's left eye, it wears chains and tattered cloth around it's body just behind it's head. His name is Gotoro and he is incredibly impatient and easily agitated. He has a very close bond to Coral and is extremely protective and loving to her, even if she can get on his nerve sometimes.
Weapon of Choice: He weapons are her claws and teeth that appear in Crystalline form, also she can send out serpents from her clothes and use them as a ranged weapon
Appearance: She is wearing a black cloak and tight black shorts. She has combat boots with high heels on and around her waist is a thick purple rope. She has purple make up around her eyes. Her nails are painted black and she has black lipstick.
Attacks:
Kiss blow: Dust coming from the mouth of a pink snake she can send out (or from her own mouth) will cause it's victim to fall for her. The target will then do anything in it's power to protect her.
Serpent Glare: After focusing with her eyes closed she opens her eyes to show how they have become like a snakes. Then she can look at a large group of enemies and make them become terribly afraid of her.
Gotoro Judgment: She ends out a massive amount of snakes to capture her enemies. Then she brings them all close in and her giant snake Gotoro gets close and opens his mouth. If they have evil souls their souls will be sucked into his mouth and sealed away for ever, killing them very painfully.

Weakness: Physical: She isn't very agile and kinda bad at dodging which is why she relies on her ranged snakes and her giant snake
Mental: She isn't really good with others so it may take time for her to become a good part of the team
Elemental: High heat or cold can sometimes wake someone from a state she may have put someone in

Name: Christopher Aguatori
Nickname: Kris
Age: 17
Appearance: Kris has red hair (not ginger, properly red) whish is spiked back, like a strong wind is facing him. He has a strong jaw line, and brown eyes, somehow he always looks quite angry, even when he is trying to be nice. Kris’ right ear is pierced and has a small stud in it; it is a glass bead with a red liquid inside. His body is very muscular, he works out and plays basketball for the schools team. He wears a sleeveless shirt over a white vest. The shirt is black, with red buttons. he wears quite baggy jeans with lots of pockets, where he keeps his phone, keys, and a small knife. His jeans are kept up with a red belt that has a long tongue. He wears white running trainers.
Personality: Kris is a jock. He got into the school by his sporting skills. He is fast and strong, especially with a ball. He doesn’t have any friends that aren’t in sporting teams. He always acts tough, not letting anyone back talk him, or push him around, but he wont stand up for bullying. He will back the small guy, he is very righteous.

Bio/History: His dad is American, but moved to Japan for work, and his mum is from Japan, but he took his mums name. His parents are hard working, especially his dad, whom he barely ever sees except when he comes to basketball games. Originally he was small, and weak. At his first school he was bullied, that’s why he always helps people who are bullied, even if he doesn’t do it in the right way. He will fight the bully, and intimidate them until they stop bullying, or leave the school. He decided to get strong, and made the basketball team. He had great potential and was transferred to Akira High School.
Other: He secretly likes to do modular origami in his spare time.

Beast: Tiger
Beast Appearance: Danzo is a massive Siberian Tiger, standing at 4m long. He has over 100 black stripes, that look like coal ashes. His eyes are a magnificent glowing yellow with black whole like slit pupil. His paws are massive and leave scorch marks on the ground as he walks. He has a long beard of fur.
Weapon of Choice: Pair of Tonfa
Appearance: Kris’ shirt disappears and his vest tightens around his body, nearly skin tight, and it gains some armour pads I the torso, and lower back. His jeans change into blood red hakima (ninja trousers) that are tucked into black metal shin gourds, and he wears tabi. His tonfa have clear handles rapped with black fabric for grip. The shafts are made of a light, but very strong wood, which is stained black. His eyes change to glow red/orange, and smoke slowly leaks from them.

Attacks:
Burning Strike- His tonfa glow nearly white with heat and when he attacks with them they can cause severe burns, and even make some materials catch fire. If hot enough he can send fire through the air by slicing the air.
Spinning Flame- Kris spins his tonfa at a very high speed, and he forced them to catch fire, and when they do he can use a flamethrower which can reach about 8m, but is more effective at closer ranges.
Scorching Sun- Kris jumps as high as he can, and uses his fire to boost him high into the air where he focuses all of his fire into one final blast. He lifts his arm, as if to point into the sun and with the other arm starts punching towards the earth below. Each punch creates a meteor that hurtles towards the enemies below. This uses a lot of energy, so he can only shoot about 4 meteors.
Weakness:
Physical- Kris is very agile, and fast, but he looks stronger than he is, not saying he is weak, but he looks more threatening than one might think.
Mental- Kris doesn’t think about what he is doing, if it will put him in danger or not, just running in ‘guns blazing’
Elemental: Fires obvious weakness is water, but earth will also weaken attack damage slightly

Name: Kuro, Shiori (She-or-ree)
Nickname: Shi
Age: (15-17) 15
Appearance:
Very small, just brushing at 5ft. Shiori has silver hair she brushes up into a single pony tail or it will hang down just past her shoulders. Her eyes are very dark gray and her skin is pale, almost sickly looking.
Personality: Quite shy, but has a close group of friends (the RPers). Most of the time she will avoid fighting, but when she knows she has too she can be fierce. Will protect her friends with her life if need be. Shi, being one of the youngest in the grade, does have her childish moments and sometimes refers to herself as Shi-chan. Shi often daydreams in class and has a ligh, elegant voice.
She writes beautiful poems and has quite an aptitude for languages.
Bio/History: Shiori has grown up her with her brother. Raised by her aunt she never knew her real parents, but she doesn't mind, her aunt has been more of a mother to her than her real one could ever be. She asks questions out of curiosity about her parents but then her Aunt goes quiet and refuses to answer, so Shi assumes them to be dead. (more to be revealed in the rp)

Other: With practice, she can fly when manipulating air.

Crystalline Form-

Power: Wind
Beast: Hawk
Weapon of Choice: Fan
Appearance: No armour, just a kimono like thing, but much lighter to aid her speed and agility. She's almost impossible to hit when shes serious.
Attacks:
~ Flash Step - Dissapears for a split second and reapears a short distance off. This can tire her fast if she does it over a too long distance.
~ Storm Choir - A fan shaped blade of high pressurised wind is launched at the foe. It's usually just luck if it hits more than one thing, its inaccurate, especially when she's moving fast.
~ Turbulence - She crouches down and brushes her fan across the ground and she slowly spins, gaining speed until she's surrounded by a cyclone that she can then direct at enemies.
Weakness:
~ She has stupidly low endurance, for being so hard to hit.
~ Weak to mocking and shying away from combat, sometimes believes that everybody has a good heart and dont wish to harm her.
~ Fire and Earth

Nick: Sen
Age: 17
Appearance: Sen is a puny creature. With feeble limbs and a bony face he gives the first impression of a skeleton, a look that is only amplified by his pale skin. Despite this those close to him call him Sen. He has shoulder length, jet black hair that has covered his eyes for almost all of his life. He wears a loose, orange, long sleeve shirt along with his black, baggy jeans and an old pair of grey trainers.
Personality: Emotionally detached and somewhat depressing to be around, he would rather be alone in the forest where he is more at piece, than at home with his foster parents. He has never smiled and is not like to ever do so as he is of yet to find something he likes.
Bio/history: Found on the door step of his now foster parents, Sen has never known his true parents. His foster parents, desperate for a son, took him in but less than a year later had a son of their own. They began to get irritated by Sen’s uncanny ability to know things with little or no explanation and to him it seemed as if they had stopped loving him; leading to his emotional detachment. It was this ability that got him accepted into Akira High School for talented individuals.
Other: When alone in the forest on one of his walks, he likes to pick up a long stick and hit the small animals that get to close.


Crystalline form-
Power: Mind
Beast: Red Panda
Beast Appearance: A small panda with orange fur that appears to glow slightly as it moves in a wind that isn’t there. When one looks in its dark black eyes they reflect his deepest, darkest thoughts. His long tail seems to move of its own accord.
Weapon: A 6 foot, redwood Bo staff engraved with black eyes.
Appearance: Newly revealed orange, glowing eyes with an ornately patterned pupil stare deep into your mind. His newly shimmering, orange hair floats around freely, as if gravity has no effect on it. Black hakima replace his trousers and copper coloured shin guards appear as his shirt is completely removed. Orange tattoos flow over his skin and occasionally flow out of it, all the while glowing and shimmering. The very air around him is exited with energy.
Attacks:
Mind Hack- Reads the mind of the target and leads him to believe he is attacking and enemy but it is actually his ally, also useful for gaining information.
Mind Rush- Teleports behind the target and attacks with one telekinetically driven strike, launching him into the air, then teleporting up to the target and beating him down again. This will be repeated 20 times in 1 minute
Gravity Wave- Pulls in all the nearby objects and enemies, whilst disabling them, only to release them in a large, powerful wave of telekinetic force.
Weaknesses-
Physical: Sen is physically weak, barely able to pick up a cup without strain.
Mental: Over exertion of the minds eye causes extreme migraines (The more powerful the attack used, the stronger the pain), loss of memory is also a bi-product of mind power.
Elemental: Soul- Emotions easily confuse him.

((Yeah I guess it is, but just controlling emotions isn't very good for fighting. Although the mental shock slowly steals your soul so I guess thats okay. But I really like this character so I would love it if it was accepted. Also you are more Telekenetic (Hope I spelled that right, no spell check)While mine gets more into the head of a person. I think. Thats just my interpretation. Also Taraneme when I read that your character thinks of everyone as nice I was like "Oh our characters are going to be good friends hehe."))

to foxysister; i do agree with theGecko that your powers are more mind then emotional, so please adjust that. And your character is nothing special. why is she in Akira? What makes her stand out? Grades? Sports? Music? It's a high school for exceptional students
