If you can't play a game without relying on some bullshit download to help you, quit playing games in general. This runs along the 'EPLAGUE' Shit I've been talkin' about. Runescape doesn't deserve to suffer because of douchebags like you! Why did I quit Runescape? Because of DUMBASSES who RUIN it for me. Every time I go there I see someone doing something unreasonably stupid! Macros, Bots, Hacks, Dupes, Scams. What the fuck? You guys are no worse than common criminals. You're lucky that this shit ain't illegal! It's the SAME Thing as STEALING. Cheating the system? What happens when you cheat in a poker game? Someone with a quick to the punch attitude shoots you six times in the fuckin' skull. That's what SHOULD happen to you.

And let this be my final message, if you disagree and think I'm wrong, you're full of shit, please go die, you're one of those cock suckers who does this shit. Please, take a knife and RUN INTO IT. To those who are completely legit and happen to have some amount of skill and or effort put into characters they create, I am proud. Great rant, just one problem though. There are no Macros, Hacks or Dupes for Runescape.

And the only Bots dont even work properly. Maybe the people you ran into were just ignoring you? .

But yeah, there are far too many scammers in Runescape, and 80% of the time, the moderators don't give a shit.

this is very sad.... because its so true. i wish it were different but you hit the nail on the head.

some people who play rs (unfortunately it sometimes seems like the majority) dont care about having fun, all they care about is bragging to other players about their skills so they can feel better about themselves. if this means cheating or scamming or verbally abusing someone because their firemaking skill is 10 lvls lower then thats what they are gonna do. these people make me lose faith in the very moral fibre of the human race.

as soon as you log into the game you see people at each others throats: a lvl 30 standing near the bank laughing at a group of newbs who are begging him to tell them how to do the chat commands like glow and flash "lolol i have power over u noobs cus i can do this and u cant, now im gonna make the most out of it by using these commands in ur face and laughing at ur inability to do it back lolol"

a lvl 80+ player calling another player of similar level a newb because he doesnt have the same armor "lolol omg noob ui got full sara and u onli got rune and we r same level lol ur noob lol"

an idiotic player using one of the age old scams "armor trimming/ my name is jay gex helpar and i am ur slave, gimme ur acc details and i can help u/ come wit me i show u where to drop ur items and press ctrl w to double them"

bleh.. you see all these things within 5 seconds of logging in. players are the liefblood of a game.... players are the main part of the game, they are the jam in the donut, the cream centre bit in oreos... but in the case of rs they are a plague sucking the life out of all the normal decent people.

This, was a REALLY good post...

And quite honestly, I loved Runescape, even now I don't disrespect it because it doesn't measure up to the others just because it doesn't look as good, it also tends to have minimal lag, and has low requirements. Also, There are some Dupe scams that require you to pay like 200$ Then all you get is a fuckin' virus, Macros however DO exist and happen to work VERY well if you know how. (Cough... not that I do.) Actually... I have no idea how a bot or macro works, I figure it's just a recording of commands in certain situations. In which it'd take a long time to create a working Macro to suit every situation.

Ignore me? No, I don't talk to people... I just observe and make fun of.

i used to play rs and i played it afor almost 2 years. it was a good game because of the range of skills and quests... yea the gfx were rubbish but at the time i had a crap computer and besides im not one of the new "instant gratification" generation that needs mega flashing effects and shiny things and new additions every 5 seconds to keep me interested. i quit playing because of the community, which is a shame.

i dont think its ever gonna change since the game is always going to have far more younger players (not that they are the sole cause of the problems) so maybe ill just wait till rs3 heres hoping.

Wrong! have you been playing for the past few months? there are working macros for runescape, there are ways to have 20+ account logged on at once, go to any yew tree in free to play and you will see at least 2 level 3's with names like abcedfg223321. Peopl emake macros, they just never share them..The only people who share them attach keyloggers to random exe or zip files to get your account. If macros didnt work then jagex wouldnt have made pure essence, or closed down runescape classic.
