this is stupid. i hate being so shy. i want to talk to a girl for once and not stutter, and i want to actually have something to say.
how can i stop being so afraid to speak to girls? i don't want you guys to say that "if they don't accept you for who you are, they aren't worth your time" quote. i know it's true, but no matter how many times you say it it won't help me. so to sum it all up, how can i lose my "fear of girls"? let's put it that way. |

there are some girls i can talk to normally, but i don't know why i can't talk to others. there are some girls i know, and i talk to them as if i talk to my normal guy friends and i have absolutely NO feelings for these girls, yet there are some girls i can't talk to normally like i talk to my guy friends even if i don't like them. sorry if that didn't make much sense, kinda hard to explain. ;p to dumb it down a little, i can't even talk to girls which i don't have a crush on, but only for a few i can. |

I talk to my crush all the time like nothing was up. Only shy girls have that effect on me, which is weird cause some of the girls that are normally super hyper and outgoing have acted shy around me. I aint even that good looking, It took me forever to get the freshmen in my construction class to start talking to me and my classmates, afterwords I learned she was one of the funnest and outgoing one amongst us..

Consider what is the worst thing that could possibly happen to her?
She could say no. Sure she could ridicule you, talk about you to her friends so they all laugh at you when they see you, embarrass you in front of your peer group, possibly spit on you, get people to beat you up, or vomit on the spot... But how likely is any of that? |

don't be creepy/act casual. contrary to what you may think, talking to girls isn't that different from talking to guys.
also, girls are people too. ie. a girl may not be interested in you, no matter what. don't be self-pitying about it.

Um, girls are no different than guys really. There's some gender differentiation and they may have different roles in a culture (not being sexist; they do tend to) but in the end they're both human beings.
Stop thinkings of girls as girls and guys as guys. Think of them as humans who happen to be girls, and humans who happen to be guys. It's sort of like a venn-diagram flipped on the side. There are two circles: Fellas and Ladies. They mostly overlap. But when you look at a person, yr most likely to just see the differences (the part that overhangs and doesn't overlap), when you move past that part that hangs off, there are way way way more similarities between guys and girls than there are differences. |
