i don't buy apple products because they're too expensive for what they offer. they have a great style and are easy to handle though, i can understand why people buy iphones or imacs. it's more of a prestige object

I despise Apple in general.
But I've got an iPhone 4, for which I paid like $200 USD after trading in my old phone. I got it not because of what Apple did, but for what the iOS community of software developers have created. The only iPhone Apps from Apple I use are the basic ones like the iPod, Alarm, Calendar, Safari (which is a shit browser btw) and occasionally the calculator. I'm 100% jailbroken and I haven't updated the iOS software since 4.0.1 or something. They just continue to pump out updates full of nonsense we don't need.
