Tomorrow is the release of the new pokemon black and white and i was wondering if anyone else is getting it here? I am much more excited for this one then any of the other ones to come out recently because it seems that this one is coming with so many new features and it looks a lot different from the other versions on the ds.

A flashcard is all you need.

Just played it, and I hate the new battle system.
It takes damn 10 seconds for the battle to begin, and then the zooming effects.

Terrible.

Odds are you can turn off the battle scene. In all the other games you could.

And nope. This will be the first Pokemon game since...ever, actually that I didn't purchase on launch day. I feel like I'm missing out, but I sold my DS.

The 3DS is coming out, so nobody is gonna want a DS Lite anymore. Figured I should ebay it before people figured that out.

I might get a 3DS for Christmas. I don't care to drop any amount of money on one right now though.

For the record, Pokemon games are the only DS games I ever bought (pirated the rest) because I honestly believed they were worth my money.

I thought I wasn't, but now I'm totally getting White tomorrow. Yeeeeep.

Does anyone know if the friend code system still stands? We could set up like OnRPG tournaments and shit!

Even when you remove battle scene, the trainers will first appear, then move to the middle of the screen, move back, throw pokeball, and move away.
Then you wait 2 seconds, and then the fighting starts, and every attack that would take like 2 seconds to do in HG/SS without the animation, will take around 6 seconds in Black/White.

I hope there is a patch to just remove all the animation from the battle.

The last one I bought was crystal.

Emulated one of the newers ones, but Pokemon is dead for me now.
