Why is it spelled "extension" and not "extention" like most other words in the English language?
Also, whats that called? The endings of words..."tion", "ing", etc. Not a prefix...a postfix? ![]() Thanks. Sorry for the flood of threads but its slow around here anyway these days. |

I never paid any attention to my English classes. I wish I could have had one English teacher in my highschool career who wasn't a moron. A grade 12 English class, we spent the ENTIRE semester reading a 200 page book (orally for slow students), and reveiwing 6th grade grammar lessons. I either didn't show up to that class, or came stoned. It was unreal, that fat broad would spend 20 minutes everyday talking about how fat/ugly/old she was, and then tell us everything about her kids. |
