Nel had just reached Dzi when all of a sudden the student she thought was dead froze him in place. "Time's up." she heard the earth-user say as she glanced up and spotted a cloaked figure floating in the air, who then shot out a huge fireball directly at them.
No! There's no way I can stop something that big! My magic isn't strong enough! Nel watched as the fireball drew closer, her eyes wide with horror.
No...It can't end like this... she thought to herself as she shut her eyes tight and braced herself for the impact, not like it would save her.

Live!"" she heard a voice call out, and recognized it as Dzi's. As she turned around to face him she was engulfed in his wind shield.
Is he stupid?! He'll be killed! "NO!!!" Nel yelled out as she could feel the fireball hit against the shield, and then she was thrown to the ground by the resulting after-blast.

When she came to, she instantly looked around in every direction, hoping to find Dzi intact. "Where are you..." she muttered as she scanned the ruined surroundings. Suddenly, a grim thought came to mind, and was reflected in her face:
No...Is he...Dead? Did he die protecting me?!. Out of anger, Nel conjured up two small ice shards in her left hand and threw them as hard as she could up toward where she saw the cloaked figure, but there was nobody there. She was alone. Again.
