Frankly, a shoutbox would be abused within five minutes of being place in the forums. It's not useful, would spawn random flamewars and useless trash talk. An eyesore with no practicality.

There wont be a chat room for a reason that makes no sense to me. You can read the reason on the sticky "things not to request" and try to make sense of it.

I came here to request a chat room before i made one and i read the sticky and thats when i dicided to make one and get it stickied but the mods in general just refused to do so. I was the first to come up with the idea of making a chat room but then Walama updated the chat room and made it better.

ei walama.....pm everyone so that they will know the new chatroom you made so it will be available..
i think we must write any name we want to put as a name on the chat room ..it just what im thinking about and so that everyone will join the chatroom iinstead..so i'll pm them if it is ok to you...warhorse?

we should make a shoutbox plz i mean now we don't have as many flamers because ryugu and some others are gone

Shoutbox is something people want to spam.

Just make your own irc channel and invite people if you want to talk to them, a shoutbox would work on a small site but not one this big,

a shout out box IS NOT a chat system. its a box that you put notes on! however, a chat system WOULD be cool
