Name: Iara Vipont

Age: 17

Personaitly: Iara is a very curious individual. Although she is not fearless, she tends to ignore her fears to learn secrets she never knew before. Because of this, most people think she is either brave or foolish, but her unnerved frame tends to make Iara appear independent. Still, when people try to get close to her, Iara tends to either ignore them or dismiss them with a cold remark. Overall, people believe she is reserve and a loner.

Bio: When Iara was merely 4, both her parents said they would "go out for a bit", and they never returned. She waited three days before realizing that she was utterly alone. Unable to deal with the thought of being alone, Iara ran from her home and headed out into the night. However, Iara travelled less than a mile when a car veered a corner and knocked into her. Most of her memories have been lost because of this, along with her ability to trust others.
After spending a week of recovery in the hospital, Iara was sent to an orphanage. What she found there was far from a kind atmosphere. Children were being treated like slaves, and the young adults who had grown vengeful of being treated like dirt took their anger out on newcomers. Witnessing the fowl way eveyone treated each other eventually drove Iara into absolute isolation, her heart and mind unable to cope with the darkness around her. In order to escape the forsaken reality before her, Iara started reading tons of books, magizines, and newspapers. She came to learn about the Betting Group and the five kids "lost" in a haunted house through her research.
Before that, Iara was brought into an educated household at the age of 13. The parents who adopted her were both scholars, and they had a son who was planning to be an archeologist. As for Iara, she ingrossed herself in the many books they owned, realizing that her craving for knowledge and the truth was bound to deliver her to the job of either a detective or journalist. Of course, for the time being, Iara just wanted to solve the mystery of the five missing children and the deceased girl who started it all.

Appearance: Iara has a light tanned complexion, possibly from bathing in the sun every now and then, in fear of growing pale. She has deep blue eyes, slanted slightly in a chilling, yet serious gaze. Her lips are rather thin, set in a constant scowl, yet sometimes (rarely) held in a suspiciously pleased grin (when she discovers something). Due to the fact that she has a rather large forehead, Iara tends to keep her bangs dangling over it, which tends to make her eyes even more frightening (or barely visable). As for her body, Iara tends to work out daily, not wanting to be mistaken for a frail book-worm. Because of this, Iara has thin outlines of muscles on her arms and legs, yet they are mainly hidden behind slightly baggy, long clothes. Her clothes tend to be black, like her hair, in order to blend into dark spaces. Although her hair is rather long (comes a bit past her shoulders), it tends to be held in a ponytail. Her height is average for her age, and so is her weight (slightly less than what would be expected, but that is because she balances her diet and excercise).

Extra: Iara likes gymnastics and high-jumps. In fact, her friends (the few she has) sometimes call her "The Lithe Cat (or TLC for short)" whenever she performs a flip or jumps from a high distance. Oddly enough, Iara has vertigo (dizziness: a reeling sensation; a feeling that you are about to fall > straight from google) and tried to learn different flipping techniques and what-not to get over it; sadly, it only worsen her condition instead of improved, and she is sometimes hospitalized when it overwhelms her (like, landing improperly during a high-jump or bending in an awkward fashion when she is trying to balance her body on a parallel bar or rotating her body around a high bar).
