((Ahhh.....I got It now Lokuri... not sure whos at fault there...))
"Ugh...Let those guys wake up, follow me." Ben walked deeper into the woods, where they couldn't be heard, but the fire was still possible to see.
"So... What are some of your hobbies?" Ben asked Latona, slowing down at any sign of her pain.
"I....Like to...Play Tennis and Track..." She talked slowy, like she was almost afraid to tell Ben anything.
"Okay.... I like to play basketball, walk around..." Ben realized he didn't like to do much...Or much that was interesting to a girl. "Anyway, how was life before this...this man kidnapped you?"
She continued, "Life was....Good. I lived with my mom and Dad, I was an only child, we weren't too rich, but we weren't poor either." She smiled, he was getting through to her.
Alright. Lets get a little more serious. His soft look turned to stone. He looked at her carefully, her dim aura appearing yet again as he concentrated. "Do....You...Know anything about....Magic?" He said Magic Like it was a feather, not wanting to drop it too hard onto her.
She blew him off. "What, you mean like magicians? Yea I know it's all fake." She didn't realize what was going on.
"No. Not like that magic. Like this..." Ben snapped his forefinger and thumb, and on top of his forefinger a flame appeared. The flame went from bright yellow, to deep orange, to bloody red, to a morning sky-blue. The flame kept changing colors, a deep purple, to green, to many more colors.
She crawled backwards, slowly. She looked at him with a mixture of awe, amazement, and fear.Ben couldn't stand it. He clenched his hand into a fist and the flame went out. "I'm sorry, was that a little too fast?" He didn't want to frighten her, but he needed to know. This aura, this girl, was different from others.
"No..No. If it was necessary, then it was fine. But to answer your question, no. I didn't know real magic existed." She looked at him, more curious now, than ever.
"Well. I want you to concentrate. Imagine sparks, forming in your hand, at the tips of your fingers, shooting out into the ground." Ben said. He didn't have much idea what he was doing, but he knew about this somehow. This girl had magical powers, they just needed to be awakened.
She looked at the ground, closed her eyes and after a minute, a spark shot out of her left forefinger into some grass, and the grass caught on fire. She had a look of pure excitement. Ben walked over to the bush and absorbed the fire into his hand. "Good job, good job..."
