Iara felt insulted by the new kid's attitude towards her. Right after she explained her discovery, he simply dismissed it as a joke. It usually did not matter to Iara what people thought about her, but it ticked her off when she was being absolutely serious and some twerp comes along and belittles her. What made it worse was that he not only rolled his eyes at her, but he followed up his previous comment with a sarcastic remark. Trying not to seem as irritated as she was, Iara decided to explain herself further.
"Well, I hope you have a sibling that adopted a monkey for a child, because I was dead serious," Iara remarked coldly, preparing to offer a speech of solid facts. "Let me explain why these three being ghosts, as well as the other two, aren't unethical. For one, the time span since the incident has reached a point where if they had stayed in this place for that amount of time, they would have surely died of starvation. As you can see by the gaunt appearance of their body, especially John, you can tell they haven't eaten in awhile. Any person with such a ghastly appearance would be bed-ridden, yet they are all standing as though they ate full course meals every day..."
Mia was shocked at how dedicated Iara was to proving they were dead, as though she was trying to win a battle with a political debator who negated her views. Every word she spewed contained more and more power than the previous one, her sentences never dropping in momentum. However, before she could continue, her attention drifted to Amaya, as though her next topic popped into her head. Trying to figure out what was so interesting about her ghostly friend, Mia stared in disbelief as Amaya passed through the rational human boy. The fact that she went through him did not catch her attention, but rather, the look on the male teenager's face: he didn't belief she went right through him! John found it humorous, but Mia found it just plain pathetic that a kid could be so narrow-minded; she even found herself slapping her forehead and shaking her head.
"...And yet another sign of the loss of their exterior shell, known as a human body!" Iara suddenly exclaimed, walking over to John, taking his vulnerable state for granted as she poked her hand through him; it materialized on the other side, while the portion of her arm in him seemed a bit transparant and wavering in a wavy fashion. "No human could force themselves to go from a solid substance to a gas-like substance; it is by completely impossible. If you by some chance think that this is some sort of well-developed trick, come and try for yourself on any of them. The feeling of death creeping into your body as your hand sinks into their ghostly frame should be enough to slice through the cloud of unwillingness to accept the truth surrounding you! However, if you still desire to cling to your rational, ristricted outlook on life, then don't bother to turn to those around you who are beyond your reach when danger confronts you!"
((OOC: Iara is pissed off. xD ))
