What happens if you get within 5 yards of a Mage/Warlock? They can still spit out spells?
they still can, but that's not the problem, the problem it's they are just too damn squishy and anything, ANY class than can physically burst (DK's, Ret paladins, Rogues), will crush you, and DK's AND ret paladins have ways to survive your already cloth burst damage, a good DK will faceroll you anytime you want unless they just suck, the good thing it's that you will face more retards playing DK's than good players, but, a good player will outright crush in the first 5 seconds if they just manage to even pull a single Death grip on you

Do any of the aforementioned 3 classes hit significantly harder than the other?
in a way, yes, but burst damage it's what it's all about in this season of arena, and classes like Retribution paladins and Death knights have both burst, AND more survavibility than your typical mage or warlock, so, unless you REALLY REALLY know how to kite and know a mage like the palm of your hand, you will be facerolled by Druids, Death knights, Paladins, and Rogues

this is coming from a guy that played WoW on a daily basis and have a Lvl 80 Resto shaman, a lvl 80 DK, and a lvl 80 ret paladin along with a lvl 70 warlock (which bored me so I didn't level) and a 76 Moonkin Druid (balance) which I left since I came back to studies and stopped paying, besides I got bored of WOTLK
