I'm pretty sure the black screen is somewhat normal. When I start Arad Senki up I always get the black screen, then everything zooms in and all my windows minimize, but after 10 seconds of waiting the game pops up. Maybe you should try waiting a minute or so for the game to appear, but if that doesn't work I'm clueless as well.
