move the jquery slider (or w/e you're planning to implement) to the right and the content to the left. or make the slider bigger and move it to the top & adjust the content window to the full width of the site.
additionally, you should switch the positions of the login and the search fields. it just looks more eye-friendly.

Also make the input of the username/password around to 40% opacity so it would give a better feel to it.

Alright.

Few changes I made.

- Changed darkish blue to brighter blue (I have a feeling its not too eye friendly)
- Changed background to white
- Changed Font
- Switched the positions of login and search field
- Switched the slider to right, content to left
- Did some opacity changes around the Search Bar

Don't people read from left to right? Wouldn't placing the slider on the left and content on the right more easier? What do you guys think?
I also switched the bg colour to white, because my friend suggested it. Do you guys like old bg (grey) or new bg (white)?

I'm a media designer, from my experience i can tell you that a left-aligned content looks more exe-friendly overall
your site looks too bright, you should make the menu-bg darker, like this: (just a quick edit)

Done.

- Made the menu darker, but not as dark in your example, still wanted to maintain a light colour.
- Changed font colour to grey
- Resized the "copyright bar"

Hows the website now? If I was to sell it , would anyone be interested?

^No one would be interested.

There's no real style or catch to it. Add some lipsum so people can see how the text would play out. Use filler images and content.

Your layout is clean but there's too much spacing between the search bar, and the main body, as well as with the footer (copyright), the arrows look downright hideous, and you should try less space between the top bar.

Needs a big helvetica text for the "Home" and "Contact" stuff. You should also make the background kind of a gradient rather than one colour. Kind of like what apple does. They make it a light gray to white rather than all white.

Too early to know. You need a catching header and footer. Its too plain right now. Content boxes and rounded corners are a bad combination! I don't see the purpose of having 2 boxes in the content area, it only restricts the visitors field of view. Just have one big combined content box and if you need to separate content just make columns like a newspaper!

Maybe if you add pictures to your template and what the other dude said, lipsum (where text will be) we could get the full picture.

the layout overall is too old fashioned. it looks like web 1.0.
you should really add some lorem ipsum and random images.
i quickly made you this here:

if you want it, pm me for the .psd
