i started playing dungeon runners yesterday, and when i go to kill monsters, i kill them to get better equipment, and not to gain some levels. and i think that's the thing you are looking for
maybe the game is something for you. the graphics aren't that great, but it is at least 3D.
(also one small thing, there are not alot people playing it, there are only 200-300 people online at the time (at least when i played))
