It's saying that in regards to people calling Wonder King a Maple Story clone the only thing that they have in similar is the genre. While at first glimpse it may look like just another Maple Story to some, he emphasises that for others a simple feature such as double jumping can change how a person plays and looks at the game. In conjunction, he also states that depending on how it's used it can also change the way that the game is played completely and it is then when Wonder King can 'stand on its own two feet'.
