Actually, Bush is a charismatic genius, he always knew how to recover from any failed speech and kept his "body language" image of that on top. Seriously, there are people who have written books on body language and give great credit to Bush.
But seriously, though. The President of the US was never supposed to have as much power as he does today. He was primarily supposed to be a figure head, a representative of the people of the US to spear head diplomatic policy and act as a symbolic leader to our military forces.
If Bush was so bad, why did he get elected twice, why didn't anyone try to indirectly attack him out of office? Because he was a symbol of the average man. When he got up there, we could see a piece of ourselves in him.
End the end, he did admit that he had a poor understanding of politics, bt there is no requirement for that in the constitution.
Bush wasn't as bad as most people believe.
