Default Parents divorced.

My mother came home from work today, without my step-dad, and she told me that they had divorced.

Kind of a sudden though, they had been married for around 6 years...
My step-dad wasn't all that of a great guy anyways.

I'm just happy my mom isn't all that upset and such, but its still weird, I don't know how to react, I'm not sad or happy, or anything, its just like life is going on as normal as it should.

Is this normal, or am I just going crazy?

A real divorce takes months, actually. I doubt she/they made the decision just yesterday.

I mean, it's great if both of you are happy. When my parents divorced i was like 'sigh, finally'

How did your mom feel about him?

How did you feel about him?

How did you feel about them together?

If everything seems ok then just go with the flow.No use interjecting negatives in a situation where no negatives exist.

My dad left my mom when I was real young. I remember it being pretty emotional and junk for a kid to handle.

You're older, and you know that this stuff happens all the time. Its really better that it happened later in your life probably.

As long as you're not sad, hey, more power to ya. Be prepared to pick up the slack though...all the junk he did you're gonna probably have to do. Be a good kid to your mom and help her out. Shes housed you and fed you for this long, its the least you could do

Yeah I wasn't really sad when it happened to me either. It was a long time coming, and everyone expected it. Still, sorry to hear that, man.

The divorce isn't usually that bad, feels awkward for a while though..

The annoying part is when a new guy comes in and he either tries to get all chummy chummy with you or to get your *** kicked outta your house =/

Or both, hypocritical bastard <_<
