Recently we had our ISP switched to Bell, and with that came a new modem. It wasn't until I tried port forwarding for a few of my games that I realized that this modem was also a router, and was conflicting with the one I had set up already.
My current set up is R1) 2701HG-G Gateway R2) Linksys Cisco WRT160N The problem I'm having is that any ports I forward in my main router (WRT160N), won't work due to something conflicting in the Gateway. How would I fix this problem? Eliminating one of the routers isn't an option. Thanks in advance. EDIT: I got it to actually ping the router now, but the port check says that the port is still not open, or is unreachable. Last edited by drawnzer54; 04-05-2011 at 02:57 AM. |

A classic step to forget on port checking... is the port actually in use when you check if it's open?
It does matter if you didn't know.
