I have to admit I got the game a week or so after release, hoping like many to get that inner child feeling again. I wasn't able to even get all 8 badges in (whatever came before the re-release of the originals) but I actually enjoyed the world, story and all new pokemon of this one. The review on IGN pretty much says everything I thought, not seeing a zubat in caves and having a nicer looking world. However my biggest problem was the pokemon design and names, some of them where so ugly, the first noticeable one being that dream pokemon (posted in OP) and some of the storyline was kinda bad but was 10x better then any of the other Pokemon games.
But I have enjoyed it a lot so far.

There are always ugly pokemon but you're bound to find at least 6 that you like...and guess what, that's all you really need! As for names they let you name your pokemon for a reason O.o Also that turtle has so many flippin weaknesses *rage*

But hate all you want this is the first pokemon game I've bought since silver. I don't care that a lot of it is the same, albeit prettier since I haven't played anything like this for years. I always wonder why someone doesn't copy the pokemon formula but actually make it more mature and possibly story driven...oh well, a man can dream...

P.S. I actually think Whimsicott (or however you spell that) is quite cute...although Lilligant > Whimsicott.

It's not how well they would do against each other, it's how well they do against every other pokemon =)

I'm kinda indifferent about B/W, its cool and all but its just to simplistic IMO, and leveling is too hard in this, after the Elite 4 its just boring.

I actually just beat the game about 5 minutes ago. Got my Darmanitan to level 55, raped the Elite Four and Reshiram finished the job.

Oh, well if you were only there then yeah that's why. I didn't think everything before the second gym was boring, but the game gets better.

i think they change gym battle system in the game it got like 3 different gym leader in the first gym base on what type pokemon you choice first
