I get what you're saying, but you misunderstood. Just because I couldn't care less about somebody's opinion of me based on the fact that I hate a certain genre, it doesn't mean I dislike them as a person. It certainly doesn't make me like them any more but y'know.
There are various other reasons for me to like those people, that might have nothing to do with the music they listen to. If they put aside the bias, I could see that.
