A. It hasn't been confirmed that there will even
be classes.
B. The reason that the characters in HAVE run the same as characters in Team Fortress 2 is because the character movement in both games are based off the movement of normal people.
C. No weapon in either game is original. Every single one has been used in countless other games.
D. Have you even seen the trailers for Team Fortress 2?
E. Enemy Territory. Cortex. You have played custom maps before Team Fortress 2, right?

The girl with the minigun(by the way, miniguns and gatling guns are 2 different things) did a large sweeping motion with her gun. The heavy has
never done anything such as that. But that's irrelevant,
BECAUSE TEAM FORTRESS 2 DID NOT INVENT MINIGUNS. COUNTLESS GAMES HAVE HAD MINIGUNS BEFORE TEAM FORTRESS 2. Also,
THE SNIPER IS ACTING JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER SNIPER IN VIDEO GAME HISTORY. TEAM FORTRESS 2 DID NOT INVENT SNIPERS EITHER. The girl with the baseball bat showed no indication that she was moving faster then anyone else. But that is also irrelevant,
BECAUSE TEAM FORTRESS 2 DID NOT INVENT BASEBALL BATS. And the robot with the grenade launcher doesn't have a bandage over his eye. He has metal plating over his eye. Do you know why he has metal plating over his eye? Because the developers were trying to portray him as psychotic! That's also why he has a white teeth pattern on his face and elongated red eye. Please look at more then 1 feature of the character before instantly saying "LOLDEMOMAN".

Most people complaining about this are on the same level of people that complained about TF2 becoming "too cartoony". It's just prejudice against the character style (anime-like characters), because otherwise the trailer looks good enough.
But I'm betting that since they've gone this far copying the game, it'll either be the same or worse than TF2.
I'd like to give it a spin though. Just for the fun of watching Team Fortress 2: Korean Anime Girls version.

I still say it'll be horrible due to the gaming industry's incompetence at room-based shooters.

-It's a cartoon style action figure, hence it looks like a soldier. The soldier is a soldier, hence he looks like a soldier. There's a resemblance because they're based off the same idea.
-Games have had baseball bats as melee weapons before. And the running animation is far from "exactly the same". The girl doesn't hold the bat behind her, like the scout. But that's irrelevant, because the animations should look the same. Otherwise that would mean one of the animations didn't know what running looked like.
-Or the glowing stars from Mario. Or that sparkly thing from Sonic. invulnerability isn't exactly a new concept.
-I've already talked about the look of the robot, but I agree that the grenades look nearly identical from the grenades in Team Fortress 2. But unless someone else can come up with a new way to design cartoony grenades, I could care less.
-There's a reason that the health regen items have the + symbol. A red(and sometimes green) + symbol is always used to convey that health is being gained. It's a common gameplay choice that's been around
LONG BEFORE TEAM FORTRESS 2. But that's also irrelevant, because the partical effects from the healing items at the medigun don't look anything alike.
-Maybe that's because the sniper in Team Fortress 2
IS JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER SNIPER IN VIDEO GAME HISTORY. Well, aside from the Australian accent..... and the jars of piss he throws at people.
-The art styles and technical capabilities for the games are nowhere close and the music in HAVE's trailer is nothing more then generic action music. Not to mention it bares very little resemblance to the music in Team Fortress 2.

The only that that was "borrowed" from Team Fortress 2 is the grenade design. Other then that it's just an over-the-top shooter with generic weapons and inspired by the countless player-made giant house maps and those stupid army men games.

No, the point to Team Fortress 2 was for it to be fun. The reason there are so few automatic weapons is because every assault rifle shoots the same as every other and filling the game with them would take away from a lot of the distinction from the classes.
